Academic background

M. Kamil Khobzi holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration (M.B.A.) from the University of Quebec – Montreal, a Master’s degree in Project Management (M.P.M.) from the University of Quebec-Montreal, and a Master’s degree in Mining Geology (M.Sc. Eng.) from the Mining Institute of St-Petersburg, Russia. His Master’s degree in Project Management is accredited by the Project Management Institute (PMI®).

Professional journey

M. Khobzi is a seasoned professional with over 40 years of experience in the mining and resources industry, managing and completing mining and mineral projects across North and South America, Africa, Europe, and Asia. As a consulting engineer, he has participated in the management and completion of over one thousand projects for various companies, overseeing project planning, execution, and control to ensure coordination with cost and timeline constraints.

M. Khobzi has led all aspects of mining projects, from Greenfield prospection and advanced-stage exploration to target definition, drilling, resource calculations, and feasibility studies. He has also served as CEO and Executive of a TSX-listed exploration company, reorienting it towards active exploration with high-potential gold and base metals projects. His expertise includes auditing and evaluating mineral resources and reserves, which he translates into economic and financial tools for executive decision-making.

Achievements

M. Khobzi is an accredited NI 43-101 professional. He was named “Prospector of the Year” in 1998 by the Quebec Mining Explorers Association for discovering a copper-zinc-gold deposit on the Gemini project in Quebec, Canada. He was also part of the team members of the first 20th winners in the 2016 Integra Gold challenge.
